Opening Night - Nature of Water by Julia Prior

Julia Prior is a modern realist artist who works predominantly in oil paint and divides her time between Melbourne and studio in Bright. Painting is her greatest passion as it brings her endless joy and calm. During the past three years Julia has been focusing on painting water, an ever changing inspiration during these eventful times.Capturing the continually shifting nature of water in its varied forms, Julia experiments with the colours, moods, strength, and importance of light that brings so much change to the same vista. The movement, power, and calm that water evokes have inspired her to create images to relax to or stimulate the senses.
